Pineapple Cinnamon Fruity Pops

For an exotic tropical pop, here's another tasty treat to try making on a hot sweltering day. Use 3 cups of pineapple chunks (known for anti-inflammatory properties ), 1/2 tsp cinnamon, and 1/4 cup of fresh orange juice. Place everything in a blender and sprinkle a dash of salt in the blender. Blend on high for 30 seconds or until smooth. Pour into Popsicle molds and freeze for 6 hours.

  1. This recipe sounds easy and very good. I love the combination of pineapple and cinnamon, but have never made any popsicles yet.

    Wishing you a pleasant Sunday,
    Eva

  2. Hello Eva, They're so good. I made these the other day for both me and my kids and they just loved them. I have to admit my daughter likes them a lot more than my son does. I love them! Have a nice evening!

  3. I'm going to try this! Oh' and the one below as well.

Although it is officially the start of the rainy months over here, it is still sweltering hot. These popsicles are a great idea. And yes, how true, the store bought ones are way too sweet.

I love your garden Lydia....I've never really seen a "sage bush" for real. I bet it smells so heavenly....:>

  5. Hello midsummerprism, I'm happy your going to try these freezer pop recipes. They're so refreshing. I bet the sound of the summer rains in your parts are so pretty to hear and look at right now. My sage plant smells wunderful. The butterflies love it. There's usually about 6 or 7 white sulfers on it at once during the day. Have a great day!

Hello Amber, Thank you! These are also fun to make with kids. It's easy enough for them to help out and healthy enough for them to snack on often. Have a great day!

  8. I am curious if the taste of the salt comes through at all. Why is it needed? Does it taste different if you don't put it in? Recipe sounds lovely - and so easy. Your garden is great.

  10. Hello Linda, You only really need a dash of salt. I just sprinkle a very tiny amount in. I'm not sure why the recipe calls for salt. The recipe I do have for these freezer pops say to include a dash of salt, so I always have. I'm asuming that they may preverve in the freezer better with a bit of salt added. You really shouldn't be able to taste any of the salt in these pops. So if you try these, only add a small pinch to the blender.
I've been so busy in my garden. My next garden challange is battling the slugs in my veggie garden. Have a great day!

Hello Oswegan, These are very easy to make. I switch on and off with these three recipes all summer long. Have a great day!
