Melon-Basil Pops

Summertime popsicles are very easy to make at home. They're also a lot healthier, because your not consuming all the artificial sweeteners that go into the store bought pops.
This recipe will include 4 cups of melon cubes (which contain potassium) with 1/4 cup of vitamin K-packed chopped fresh basil and 1/2 cup of organic frozen lemonade concentrate.
Combine the fruit, herb, lemonade concentrate and a dash of salt in a blender. Place on high for 30 seconds or until smooth. Pour into popsicle molds and freeze for 6 hours.

  5. Hmmm... basil? I'm trying to picture basil in a "pop", and I can't do it. Shouldn't a frozen dessert, by very definition, be something really, really bad for you?

  6. Hello Baba Doodlius, Believe it or not, Basil tastes great in this pop recipe. Many people do prefer the bad for us sweets, but the after math of enjoying these fun treats to often, can be sad. These pops are guilt free. Have a great day!
