My Medicine Wheel

A few days ago a dear friend of mine did my medicine wheel for me during her visit.
Your only supposed to have your medicine wheel done once, because the 7 animals you draw, are the animal that walk with you through out life.
The other two animals in your wheel are determined by what animals you feel the most drawn to and which are your favorites. This makes up a total of 9 animals in someones medicine wheel.
The last time I had my wheel done was in 1994. I knew I drew all birds back then, but I wasn't sure where they fell in the spread, so we decided to do it again and this time I recorded it.
Surprisingly, I drew four of the same animals as I drew back in 1994, which was the raven, hummingbird, hawk and eagle.
The tiger and the cat I consider the two animals in my wheel that are not drawn from the deck. These animals have always been my favorites and also the two I have always been drawn to.

Falling to the east on my wheel is the raven.

South is the lizard.

West is the hummingbird.

North is the mountain lion.

Above is the fox.

Below is the hawk.

Within is the eagle.
This is pretty fun and interesting to do, especially for animal lovers.

  3. Hello Jamerson,
Your most likely very right! The animals we are most drawn to walk with us through life and we can ask for their special strengths and instincts when we need them.
I use to have this deck back in the 90's and I loved them, but unfortunately they were lost through out the years.
Hope you can connect with your power animals.
    Have a wonderful day!

  5. Hi, Lydia!

How fascinating that you had your medicine wheel read. I have never thought of it being done with cards.

I know that American Natives built them of stone.

There is information that I can share with you, if you would like to email me.

    It's a beutiful day here...full of sunshine!

    I hope yours is,too!

  7. Dear Lydia..please don't think I am ignoring you--I sent a very long email several hours ago, and it was just returned as undelieverable. I checked to be sure that the address was correct, and it was, so maybe it has something to do with my server. I will try again, later, and meanwhile, perhaps you could just send something to me, and I will just hit 'reply' to answer it, okay?

  9. Dear Gypsy Butterfly,

I will visit both your blogs regularly since I enjoy your postings and hearing from you.

Unfortunately I cannot enter my previous blogs, the French key on this computer does not spell the password correctly. I will have to think about starting a new blog some time in the future, unless my old PC with the English key can be repaired ...

Over here, in the South of France it is hot !

    You would enjoy it.

    Take care,

    Olivia Eva
