For Tessa

For my cat Tessa
April 13, 1993 - January 1, 2009
Fly, fly little wing

Fly beyond imagining

The softest cloud the whitest dove

Upon the wind of Heaven's love

Past the planets and the stars

Leave this lonely world of ours

Escape the sorrow and the pain

And fly again

Fly, fly precious one

Your endless journey has begun

Take your gentle happiness

Far too beautiful for this

Cross over to the other shore

There is peace forevermore

But hold this mem'ry bittersweet

Until we meet

Fly, fly do not fear

Don't waist a breath don't shed a tear

Your heart is pure, your soul is free

Be on your way don't wait for me

Above the universe you'll climb

On beyond the hands of time

The moon will rise the sun will set

But I won't forget

Fly, fly little wing

Fly where only angels sing

Fly away, the time is right

Go now and find the light

  3. I am so sorry that you have lost your friend and companion. I lost my cat last year she was 18. I know how much joy they bring and how much we learn from them.
Know now that when the sun shines and the comfort of a warm day that the spirit of your cat is there with you.

  5. Thank you Vintage kitten.
I'm also sorry to hear about your two kitties.
I use to have 4 persians. Tessa was the first of them all and the last to leave too.
Wishing you a very nice day,
    Lydia

  7. Thank you Dave. I'm also sorry to hear about your kitty. She was 18! wow!
    She lived a good life.
I sure will think of her and know she's there when I feel the sunshine on me.
She already showed me in a dream that she's happy right now, which made my day so nice when I woke up.
    Have a great day,
    Lydia

  16. Hello Anna Maria,
Welcome to my blog! Thank you for the nice complement too!
It must be beautiful in Italy. My parents were both from a town a 45 minutes south of Rome. We still have family living there. I hope to visit your country one day. My parents and brothers said it's abolutely beautiful in Italy!
    Wishing you a nice day,
    Lydia

I'm sure Portugal must be beautiful! You have much better weather than I do up in New York!

  18. Ah, that's sad, Lydia. I know how you must feel, as I've lost cats before. My Blanche is 16 and Gilbert is 15+. We'll raise our paws in a prayer for the spirit of your Tessa.
