Daisies in Vase

This is a watercolor I painted back a few years ago. Since I'm missing summer and all the flora that comes along with it, I've decided to use this daisy painting for my post. I have to admit I have a bad case of cabin fever right now.

  1. They look so bright and cute, your three daisies in a vase. I love the composition of blue, mauve, pink and yellow. A very nice watercolor, Lydia.

  2. givethemhell, Hello and thank you. I haven't done flowers in a while. This dates back to the late 90's, as do most of my other paintings and charcoals I display on my posts.

  4. The colors in your cheerful painting give me an emotional lift, Lydia. I Love all the colors, but that blue really draws me in..maybe because it's like a cloudless spring sky..

  10. I hear you! My St. Francis statue is up to his neck in snow - kind of like one of those guys buried in the desert sand.
Yesterday I baked biscuits for the squirrels.
Your painting is so cheery and gives one hope. Spring must be coming soon!
