The worst lies are the lies we tell ourselves. We live in denial of what we do, even what we think. We do this because we're afraid. We fear we will not find love, and when we find it we fear we'll lose it. We fear that if we do not have love we will be unhappy.”

  2. Hello Lydia,

    this quote is interesting,

yet I believe the lies that hurt us

most are the ones we are told by

people we believe to be our "friends".

  7. Dear Lydia..the following is a quote which I think should give us all something to ponder:

When people are forced to remain silent when they are being told the most obvious lies, or even worse when they are forced to repeat the lies themselves, they lose once and for all their sense of probity. To assent to obvious lies is to co-operate with evil, and in some small way to become evil oneself. One's standing to resist anything is thus eroded, and even destroyed. A society of emasculated liars is easy to control. ~Theodore Dalrymple

I think a lie, of any kind, is one of the most cruel things that one human being can perpetrate against another.

Our prayer should be that we would always live our lives in honesty, and integrity..especially since we shall all, at one time or another, have to give account for every lie that has ever proceeded from our mouths.

Honesty and integrity are some of your strong traits, dear Lydia...never let them be swayed by anyone pretending to have the same.
