3 Tips For Shopping At The Farmer's Market

Farmers markets offer the freshest fruits and vegetables of the year right now.
Here's 3 great tips if your going to visit the market.
1) When looking for the freshest summer squash, zucchini or cucumber, make sure you choose those that are very firm and avoid the ones that slightly bend.
2) Now is the best time to try a large variety of fresh fruits and veggies, so be adventurous and  try different foods.
3) It's best to go to the market an hour or less before they close. This is when most vendors lower their prices to at least half  of what they were charging in the beginning of the day.

  1. Hello Lydia,

I always buy my fruit and

    vegetables at the little

    country store which is

    just around the corner.

    They have fresh products

    that taste very good.

    Blessings

  2. Hello Olivia, That sounds very nice.
It's great to take advantage of the local fresh produce rather than buying them from the grocery store right now!
What I don't have in my garden or on my fruit trees, I get from farm stands or the farmers market when I can.
    Have a great day!

  6. Hello Olivia, thank you! I decided to go with something fun and happy since there is much negativity out threer these days.
I have been having an awful lot of problems on my blog. I was only able to get onto it now.
More vultures, you understand. It's unfortunate for them not us though.
    Wishing you a great weekend.

  7. Hello Olivia,
Forgive me about the vultures removing all my side info including the blogroll for everyone elses blogs. I am trying to figure out how to display them all again, including my rose for peace post and all else they hatefully removed from my side bar.
They are mean spirited and nasty individuals.
I also had them messing with my texts and pics today making them very tiny so I could barely read the text. thank god I know how to fix that problem now!
Goes to show what pea brains some people are.
    Have a wonderful weekend,
    Lydia
