Picking Cherries

Some of the farm stands near me give you an option of weather to pick your own fruit or buy them already picked.
Yesterday I stopped at the fruit stand to pick up some cherries. I noticed a sign that said " Pick your own" and "follow the arrows." I use to pick my own fruit often until my daughter was born. These days, It's  easier for me to buy already harvested fruit at the stand.
We ended picking our own bag of cherries.
The kids had a lot of fun.
We enjoyed the peaceful, serenity of the orchard, while at the same time saving money for picking them ourselves.

  2. Hello Olivia, Thank you!
    and your welcome!
I too have been getting my fill of cherries and blackberries! They are so fresh and good!
I plan on picking my own cherries til the season is over!
I am sure your enjoying the juicy taste of the sweet cherries.
I'm trying to learn how to make jam by only sweetening with fruit juice and honey.
I want to make blackberry and apricot jam this summer. I have a lot of unripened apricots on my trees right now.
Thank you for the calm wishes! I am sending you the very same wishes!
    Blessings, Lydia

  6. I love all of that olivia. I know this sounds dumb, but I get very excited when I am able to eat fresh local fruits and veggies.
I am so amazed at how well my garden is doing this year.
    My basil is huge!
My onions are many and I am going to have a lot of greens, beans and tomatoes.
It's going to be a great year to dry can freeze and store for the winter.
I have already started drying oregano and lavender.
Soon I'll be harvesting my apricots.
Have a nice day and enjoy all the delicious fruits!
    Lydia
