Lovers now send a single silken rose, perfumed and sealed into a plastic shell.
Is love so desperate to fend off change?
Better a rose still wet with rain, smelling of summer ephemeral. Speaking of living love. Speaking of other summers yet to come.

  2. Hello Olivia,
Yes, I do know the poet's name. I have to look it up in my book.
I should place it below the poem. I have a beautiful book on roses with art, quotes and poetry.
This is where I get most of my poems and quotes on Roses.
    Have a great day!

  3. Yes, Lydia,
please place the poet's name under the text so everybody can see who has written it.

I also have a wonderful book with garden photos and poems in three languages: French - English - German. It is a neighbour's gift.
I will use some of the poetry on my blog.

    Wishing you a great day,
    Olivia
