Picking Cherries

Some of the farm stands near me give you an option of weather to pick your own fruit or buy them already picked.
Yesterday I stopped at the fruit stand to pick up some cherries. I noticed a sign that said " Pick your own" and "follow the arrows." I use to pick my own fruit often until my daughter was born. These days, It's  easier for me to buy already harvested fruit at the stand.
We ended picking our own bag of cherries.
The kids had a lot of fun.
We enjoyed the peaceful, serenity of the orchard, while at the same time saving money for picking them ourselves.

Love comes to us in all forms.
Love doesn't always have to come from humans!

We've heard it time and time again, in a million different ways: we reap what we sow. When we plant apple seeds, we get apples. When we plant broccoli seeds, we get broccoli. It's the law of nature and we all understand it! Now we need to take it to the level where we understand that when we plant seeds of encouragement, that's what we receive in return. When we spread happiness, we get happiness back. When we give love, we get love. There's no mystery to it, that's just the way it is

Lovers now send a single silken rose, perfumed and sealed into a plastic shell.
Is love so desperate to fend off change?
Better a rose still wet with rain, smelling of summer ephemeral. Speaking of living love. Speaking of other summers yet to come.

I've decided to spend the next 2 weeks enjoying my garden and my family. I also want to work on some paintings.
So I will be offline completely for 2 weeks.
Hopefully I'll have some artwork to show when I come back!
Wishing everyone a great time gardening and hopefully by now enjoying some freshly grown veggies and fruits!

What a boring place this world would be, if we all had the same mind set and the same interests. We would all be nothing more than meaningless robots.
