Coffee

Coffee not only stimulates and satisfies, but it's also a medicine with powerful properties.
Coffee is added to many medications as a stimulant to relieve menstrual cramps, constipation and headaches. It raises blood pressure and increases the pulse rate.
It's said that strong, hot, black coffee is an antidote for poisons. It's also a great diuretic.
In homeopathy, coffee, known as coffea, is used to stimulate the function of all organs and to increase the nervous activity of the body.
Esoteric meaning; The stimulation of life.
Esoterically coffee represents our desire for stimulation. It is the part of us that enjoys excitement, surprises and a change of habits or patterns. Coffee is a great pick-me-up when our energy is low. In order for us to thrive we need pleasure and fun in our lives. If we deprive ourselves of the things that give us joy, we punish ourselves.
Affirmation; Life excites and delights me.

  1. Lydia,
I love that affirmation: "Life excites and delights me" It is very true: Whenever we decide to experience joy in Life, we shall receive Joy. Most people expect pain and suffering and those are the feelings that they will experience.
    Have a joyful day!

  2. Coffee is a part of life's beauty. Tea is too, but it quite doesn't serve the same purpose that coffee does. I can't imagine life without coffee. :D

  7. Lydia..years ago, I drank espresso for the very first time, while visiting some Italian friends!

I liked it very much, because it was very strong, and reminded me of the coffee that my mother made which had chicory in it.

I always enjoy yours posts so much!

  11. Oh, Lydia...six inches of snow! I, hope you did make it for your flu shot before you got hit with all of that snow!

We had a few flurries last night, and more predicted in a few days. It seems so strange not to have a lot of snow by this time of the year.

We are right in the 'snow-belt' so when it does hit, we'll really get slammed, I know.

We just bought a new snow blower, thank goodness, before they were all sold out. Last year, it was impossible to find one, because we waited too long.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend, Lydia..all warm and cozy with your sweet family. :)

  12. Hello Jan,
I know you guys get hit badly with snow!!!!!!!!!!!
My hubby drives to your town every week for work. In the winter he runs into some very NASTY SNOW STORMS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We also get hit with a lot of lake affect where my house is, cause I'm just a stones through away from the lake. It could be a winter wonderland full of blustery snow and white out conditions at my house, then if I drive 15 minutes up the road the sun is shining and the weather is completely calm. It's amazing!!!!
Fortunately it's night now and the snow hasn't even hit yet. The weather men are always wrong around here. I went to get my shot today with no problems thank god!
Wishing you a wonderful weekend with your loved ones!
If you going out christmas shopping stay calm and peaceful while dealing with the crowds.
    Lydia
