Candy Onions

This year I planted "candy onions" in my garden.
They're supposed to be mild and sweet.
So far they're growing well.
One big bonus is they make you less teary eyed when your slicing them.

  3. hello Olivia,
I look forward to eating them. This is the first year I've planted sweet onions. I usually plant yellow and red onions.
This year I did candy and vidalia.

Kids have to be up at 6AM too.
    Have a great evening!

  4. Hello Alison,
Thank you! I have a feeling it's going to be a great growing season, because my veggies are getting big now and I just planted them. Last year was awful!
I'm already eating arugula, feildgreens and spinage out of my garden.
    Have a great day!

  5. Bonjour Lydia,

I did not even know that there are so many varieties of onions.

Since I have retired I like to do as I please: sometimes I stay up late and get up late, other times I go to sleep early and get up early. There is nobody to push me, I am free.

Wishing you a good beginning of June in your beautiful garden,

    Olivia

  7. Bonsoir Lydia,

at the moment your children are the most important priority for you, to bring them up properly and to enable them having a good life.

But when they are grown up you will have time for yourself to do as you please.

    Cheers and blessings,
    Olivia

  8. Thank you for the great advise Olivia. One of the most important things a parent needs to realize is to raise children the right way.
To me that means raising my children to be kind and not mean to others. I always try to tell my daughter not to follow what seems to be popular just because everyone else is doing it but do what is right for her as long as it does not hurt anyone else.

    Have a great day!

  9. You are educating your children the right way, dear Lydia.

They will be good people ...
Or rather, they are good people already.

    Cheers and blessings,
    Olivia
