ROSES, MY MOM'S FAVORITE GIFT

Go Lovely Rose,
Tell her that wastes her time and me,
That now she knows, When I resemble her to thee How sweet and fair she seems to be.
Tell her that's young,
And shuns to have her Graces spy'd,
That hadst thou sprung
In the deserts, where no men abide,
Thou must have uncommended died.
Then die, that she
The common fate of all things rare
may read thee,
How small a part of time they share,
That are so wondrous sweet and fair.
Edmund Waller (1608-1687)

I'm sure you too remember your dear mother's birthday every year.
Mother's are so special in our lives even after they pass.
There is nothing like a mother's love. Most of us never forget the love we felt from our moms, even long after they are gone.

  6. Hello Olivia,
    Thank you.
My mom just loved her flower garden and absolutely adored roses.
    Yellow roses were her favorite.
This is why I used yellow roses for her birthday post.
Wishing you a very nice day today!

  7. You are right, dear Lydia.

A mother is a very special person, we never forget her.

My mother passed away on the last day of October 1980, almost thirty years ago. To me it is as if it were yesterday.

    Blessings
    Olivia
