This is another charcoal pastel I did in 98. It's an abstract. I named this picture "feelings." As I was creating this composition I was trying to keep in tune with my feeling at the time, because I wanted my feelings to guide me to the colors and lines I was making for this drawing.

I love this abstract with the soft curves in pastel colors. What feelings do they express?
ReplyDeleteHello Eva, Thank you. I believe at the time I was drawing this picture, I was very calm, serine, happy and content with all that was going on with me at the time. I use to go within and meditate quite often. I was very much into yoga (I still am) and I spent most of my time creating art, decorating and making my home beautiful and being outdoors in nature planting what ever it was that I could to make my landscape more colorful and pretty. I was also thinking of the changes that were about to take place in my life such as, the planning of my family (children). This is what I created by the feelings and my frame of mind during that time.
ReplyDeleteOoooh, pretty colors! Makes me think of parrots.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting, and certainly you can blogroll me if you wanna. I'll reciprocate as soon as I figure out why blogger.com won't let me edit my own blogroll right now (consarnit).
By the by, birds love asparagus!
Hello Baba doodlius, Thank you! True! These are the colors that parrots also have. I will certainly put you on my blogroll now. I hope you get your blogger troubles fixed soon, I know how annoying that can be. That's great to know, I never knew that birds liked asparagus. I did use to have a peach faced lovebird that loved eating pasta and sauce. I use to set her up a plate by mine during dinner time.
ReplyDeleteI like this pastel, it reminds be of the layers of an onion or a bulb.
ReplyDeleteThank you! Now that you mentioned it Oswegan, I know what you mean. I can see that too.
ReplyDeleteydia..as I was looking at the drawing, I thought that it looked calm and peaceful, and that you must have been at peace with yourself when you drew it.
ReplyDeleteI like the colors, which remind me of those big lollipops, shaped like a swirl.
