Sun Tea
Every summer I look forward to drinking sun tea. It's so refreshing and easy to make. You can make this drink with any kind of tea. All you need is a glass picture, 8 tea bags, 8 cups of water, plastic wrap and a warm sunny day. Pour the water into a glass pitcher and place the teabags into the water. Cover with plastic wrap and place the pitcher outdoors in direct sunlight all day. When the day has ended and the sun is setting bring the tea indoors. Pour into a glass with ice, a fresh lemon wedge and fresh mint. The rest can be kept in the refrigerator.

What a beautiful photo, Lydia!
ReplyDeleteThis sun tea looks refreshing on a hot summer day, just the right kind of drink after working in the garden. Wishing you a pleasant evening,
Eva
I'd like to do this, but I fear the squirrels would be far too inquisitive and have to tip it over to find what's inside.
ReplyDeleteI am intrigued enough to try and find a way.

Hello Eva, thank you! This truly is a nice refreshing drink after working outside all day. You can also sweeten it with sugar or honey if you like your teas sweet.
ReplyDeleteHello Kat, You may be right. The squirrels may try to get into it. You may have some luk on your front porch.
Watch out for the hummingbirds too - it's not sweet so they won't be interested in the long run, but if one decides that it wants to claim that yummy looking tea as part of its turf, stand back! They may be small, but they're mean and agressive!
ReplyDeleteI love your picture. I wanted to reach into the computer and have a sip. I may have to make some this weekend. I used to make it all the time but haven't for a long time.
ReplyDeleteHello Judy, Thank you! The best part about this drink is that it's easy to make and doesn't require a lot of ingredients. Have a pleasant Saturday.
