Yesterday I was in the basement rummaging through things that have been stored. I came across a few paintings I did in the late 90's.
The painting above is done in watercolors and it's called "Sunflower Fields." I've decided to clean up the frame and Hang it in my son's room.
Hopefully, I can start more compositions the year.

I love it Lydia. It is so bright and happy looking.
ReplyDeleteThis may be my favorite of your paintings, Lydia! It really gives the feel of wandering down the road between fields of nodding sunflowers..
ReplyDeleteI'm reading the seed catalogs too:)
Lydia..your children are blessed to grow up, surrounded by their mom's creativity!
ReplyDeleteIt's sure to rub off on them! :)
I love the colors in that picture..so cheerful, and happy!
Thank you for the new year greetings Lydia. May God bless you to have a great year ahead.
ReplyDeleteSorry for the belated new year greetings.
I will be back to blogging soon.
BTW This Sun flower pic is excellent.
Hello Judy, Thank You! I painted this one a while ago.
ReplyDeleteHello Linda,
Thank you! I've been looking through my seed catalogs and I'm already circling more than I should be when it comes to what I want to plant this year. I'm supposed to be taking 6 feet off of my vege garden this year, so I have to keep reminding myself I can't plant as much as usual.
Hello Jan,
Thank you! My children love art, especially my daughter. She draws oftern on her spare time.
Hello Deepak,
Thank you! I look forward to reading your future posts!
sun flowers! they always bring cheerful mood! i love the painting! beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThis has a real Van Gogh feel for me, not just because of the sunflowers, but by the way you swirl the sky and stretch out the landscape. Your son is lucky to have such a cheery painting in his room. He must be proud of his mother!
ReplyDeleteThanks for a little bit of sun on a dreary day.
Kat
