Herbs

Every summer I plant a huge variety of veggies and sunflowers in my garden, which leaves little room for herbs. Since herbs don't need much space, It's easy to grow them in between tomatoes, peppers and many other vegetable plants. They can also grow in small pots on the porch.

Vegetables and Fruits Good for Bones

Eventually everyone's body starts losing more bone than it makes.
This happens, because of something called acid load.
Whenever there is too much acid in the bloodstream, it leads to muscle waisting and bone loss.
The foods that cause the most acid in the body are breads, cereal, rice, pasta, crackers, cookies, doughnuts, cupcakes, ect. Animal protein also causes acid.
You can nutralize these foods by eating more fruits and vegetables, which are alkaline foods. A diet that's poor in fruits and vegetables, and rich in grains and animal protein, will assure you an acid-producing diet.

Sunflowers and Garden Benefits

With enough sun, sunflowers can do multiple things in the garden.
They attract birds and bees, feed birds, provide snack, and make bouquets.
They also make a great support for tomatoes and pole beans.

Sunflowers

Sunflowers have very few requirements, but they do prefer 6 to 10 hours of direct sunlight and even more for bigger growth. Sunflowers are heavy feeders, so it's best to plant them in compost enriched soil. Make sure to plant them after danger of frost.

Sunflowers

Sunflowers have a very short growing season. They can grow 12 inches a day, because of how well they harness the sun's energy. Sunflowers faithfully follow the sun in their bud stage. After pollination, the disk faces down and east permanently to protect the seeds from solar radiation.
