Candy Onions

This year I planted "candy onions" in my garden.
They're supposed to be mild and sweet.
So far they're growing well.
One big bonus is they make you less teary eyed when your slicing them.
We often surprise ourselves by the strength we have within!

Painted Lady

This is a photo my daughter took on my front porch while messing around with my cannon camera. I was pretty impressed with the shot.

THE AVOCADO

Avocados are full of nutrients such as folate and potassium.
They are also known to keep the belly trim when eaten often.
Even though they do have a high fat content, it's the heart healthy kind of fat, which also lowers cholesterol.
Avocados are delicious and you'll reap the rewards by adding them to your diet. They taste great in salads, as sandwich spreads, guacamole, on crackers and sliced on top of vegetarian chili!

Persian cat

When dealing with hurtful remarks about one's self and appearance, realize that every individual views you different and not everyone sees you in the same negative way.
Knowing this can make it easier to cope with negative insults.

SPF FOR LIPS

The sun's UV rays are getting very strong. It's easy to forget to use a lip balm with an SPF.
I recommend starting off with "Shiseido Benefiance, full lip correction, lip treatment"and topping it off with "Hawaiian Tropic" Lip balm SPF 45+.
It's also good to keep reapplying the lip balm all day when spending a long time in the sun.
This tip will help keep your lips smooth, healthy and fuller all summer long.

BEAUTFUL GARDENING SUN HATS

Now that the sun is hot, shining brightlyy and very strong, we all want to get out there to tend to our gardens.
Remember to wear a hat and plenty of high SPF sunscreen to protect your skin.
There are many gorgeous straw hats to chose from at the store and they can be fun to wear. I own more than one and I wear straw sun hats faithfully all summer long.

Healing With Honey

Honey can help a sore throat. It can also aid in treating bee stings, gingivitis and burns!

Mother Nature

Nature is the gentlest mother,
Impatient of no child,
The feeblest or the waywardest,
Her admonition mild

In forest and hill
By traveller is heard,
Restraining rampant squirrel
Or too impetuous bird.

How fair her conversation,
A summer afternoon,-
Her household, her assembly;
And when the the sun goes down

Her voice among the aisles
Incites the timid prayer
Of the minutest cricket,
The most unworthy flower.

When the children sleep
She turnes as long away
As will suffice to light her lamps;
Then, bending from the sky

With infinate affection
And infiniter care,

Her golden finger on her lip,
Wills silence everywhere.

Broken Hearts

People say a broken heart can cause death.
This does not have to be true.
Every time my heart's been broken, it has made me stronger, healthier, wiser, and the hurt has also opened my eyes to see what is true in my life and what was never true.
Seeing heart break in this way makes it much easier to release what needs to be removed from my life and move on.
